After 1st day at Bangalore was lost to rain, india won the toss and
batted but lasted 31 overs for their lowest ever total at home.
Strangely neither Bumrah or Siraj took a wkt when NZ batted now 134
ahead already. Something to think about cos we play NZ at home in Dec,
so watch out england.

Perhaps most remarkably, Southee only took one of the wickets. NZ, are a
fine side, as they've been for quite a while now, though Boult was a big
loss. Not that they missed him today.

Apparently the pitch started very green, presumably at least partly due
to it having been under covers all yesterday. It looks as though it must
have dried out by the time NZ batted.

At 400-3, i thought india were going to set up an exciting last day.
Surely with Pant and sarfraz hitting it to all parts and rahul Jadega
and
Ashwin to come, they must be on for 550+, and a tricky target for NZ
batting last, but instead they lost their last 6 wkts for 29. kudos to
NZ for seizing back the game.

Yes, they must have bowled well with the second new ball. Worrying news
for India is that Pant hurt his knee while batting, and apparently it's
the same one that he badly damaged in his car accident last year, which
doesn't sound good. Fingers crossed that it's nothing serious.

A great day for NZ cricket today, with the men completely their first
Test victory in India since 1988, and the woman winning the first WC in
either ODI or T20 and by either men or women. The England women could
learn from the NZ catching.
