The first ODI is on Thursday, and I've discovered that TNT Sports have
the UK TV rights. I used to pay for TNT Sports as part of my BT phone
and broadband package, but I left BT in the spring to get fibre
broadband at a far cheaper price than BT were offering. By far the most
practical way for me to get TNT now would be to add it to my Sky
package, but it looks like that would cost £30 per month, and I don't
think it's worth it. The first ODI is a day/night match, which means
from 6pm to about 2am UK time, and I'm not prepared to stay up anything
like that late. The second ODI will probably be at the weekend, so that
may be a day match, but the third ODI will probably be day/night again,
and I expect all the T20s will be evening matches WI time. No doubt
there will be highlights packages, but even so it doesn't seem worth it.
I don't know if TNT will also get the NZ Tests, but of course the times
of those will be even worse for a UK viewer. But if they get the Ashes
in 2025-6, I shall have to bite the bullet at that point and pay out.
I don't know who - if anyone - has the radio rights.
