Jos Buttler, out first ball to an incredible catch. Bizarre innings by
windies, looked out of it at 69-5 and 117-8, but the 6s kept coming, and
they posted a decent total, but englands local boyos were equal to it.
Only spoiled by another topley injury; since he got injured i think just
before the WC last year, he hasnt looked anything like the same bowler.

I wondered if the pitch had been tricky at the start but then eased,
similar to the 3rd ODI. But whatever the format. England often do
struggle to finish off the tail.

Looks like it was a terrific innings by Salt. England seem much more
comfortable playing 20 overs than 50 overs, which isn't surprising given
that they play so little of the latter.

He's been very unlucky with injuries. Hit tall and rather spindly frame
probably doesn't help in that regard, though it no doubt has a lot to do
with how effective a bowler he's been.

It looks like Mahmood bowled well, which was good to see.

Meanwhile, I see that Pakistan have just won their ODI series in
Australia 2-1. Looks like the revival in their Test side has also lifted
the morale of their white-ball team, even though three of their main
white-ball performers were dropped from the Test team.

I guess it doesn't hurt to remind the players occasionally that anyone
can be dropped if they are not performing, as long as you don't overdo it.

They also benefitted from oz selecting quite a few new players and an
english captain.

Meanwhile another win for england, this time salt out first ball,
Buttler doing the honours, only disappointment was both him and jacks
getting out in 3 balls, something that england specialise in, losing
both your set players together, but this time it didnt matter. Mousley
also looked promising as a sort of medium paced lefty.
