Looks like it might not be the best of pitches at Sydney! But it's good
to see that Pant seems to be pretty much back to his best, after his
horrific road accident.

like the perth pitch it looked very green, certainly gave the bowlers a
lot of help. After Perth the oz bowlers were too strong for the rather
unreliable india batters, as i suspected before the series, but in the
end oz were helped by not having to face Bumrah and hit the target off
comfortably. Webster had a good debut, but on the whole oz selectors
seem very reluctant to choose new players, unless the old guard are
unfit. Dunno what it means for the next ashes becos except for Konstas
its a pretty old team.

Yes, I wonder how crucial Bumrah's injury was.

Unfortunately they now have Boland as a very capable deputy should one
of Starc/Hazlewood or Cummins be injured / past it. But their batting
must be a concern, though Smith and Labuschagne have shown signs of
recovering form, and Head is always a threat.
